About Hakan Hamdi Bulgurlu
Following a bachelor’s degree at Economy and Mechanical Engineering Departments of Texas University, Hakan Hamdi Bulgurlu completed the joint MBA program at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He started his professional life in Koç Holding in 1995. He held various positions in Asia-Pacific and led the Holding’s Asia-Pacific foreign trade and supply operations for 13 years in Hong Kong. He worked as Arçelik-LG Air-Conditioner General Manager between 2007-2010. He joined Arçelik in 2010 and has been the CEO of Arçelik since 2015. Bulgurlu is among the founding members of the Amstel Dialogue, which was established with the aim of accelerating the innovation process in Europe, as well as the European Committee for Home Appliances Manufacturers (APPLiA) Executive Committee MemberBulgurlu is a Board Member of Foreign Trade Association of Turkey (TURKTRADE) and Deputy Chairman of Turkey – China Business Council under Economic Relations Board (DEIK). He is also a delegate at the High-Level Commission on Carbon Pricing and Competitiveness operating within the World Bank.
