Profile

M. Al Assaf received his degree in Civil Engineering followed by master’s in Engineering Management from Saint Martins University, Washington, USA. Engr. Al Assaf was the first Arab Engineer who became chartered Engineer from the United Kingdom. He has attended several professional training courses in KSA and abroad mainly in the USA, UK, UAE, Bahrain, Germany & etc.

He has an extensive 30+ years of industry experience. Prior to joining ZFP, Engr. Al Assaf was working for Ministry of Interior – Projects Department & the USA Corps of Engineers. Since the last 29 years, he has been leading one of the largest local Architectural and Engineering firm of Saudi Arabia. During his professional journey, he has delivered state of the art solutions to local and regional construction industry. His professional leadership approach is based on standards and norms that deliver value, innovation and sustainability with affordability to its clients, while promoting local and regional content.

Working with almost all major government sector entities including ministries, municipalities, govt departments and authorities in realizing mega projects of diversified nature, he has an in depth understanding of the local and regional architectural and construction industry needs. Under his leadership ZFP has now engaged in the giga projects under the KSA Vision 2030. These include NEOM, Qiddiya and Red Sea projects.
