About Dr. Amy Bowzaylo
Dr. Amy Bowzaylo was born and raised in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. Suffering a childhood accident, she landed on her head doing a double twisting, double back flip and suffered intense pain in the neck and both arms for 5 days before visiting a chiropractor. In the first treatment, the arm pain was gone however, what remained was a severe sprain/strain of the neck. Chiropractic helped Dr. Amy recover and return to competitive sports. That traumatic moment in her life proved to be the deciding factor that chiropractic was the career for her. She has extensive experience in the sports arena with rugby, football, gymnastics, marathons, triathlons, golf and a special interest in women’s health and helping women through pregnancy. Dr. Amy graduated from Palmer College of chiropractic West where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic and served as the president of the Sports Council for a term.
Working across the globe, Dr. Amy spent seven years working in multidisciplinary clinics in San Francisco and San Jose, California before moving to Australia for a year with her late husband. She lived in Saudi Arabia for 10 years; 7 of which she spent as the Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Award winning Triple accredited (JCI, ACI, ACHS) Saad Specialist Hospital before deciding to move to Bahrain and venture out on her own.
