With over a decade of polyurethane industry experience both in Germany and internationally with Bayer AG and Bayer MaterialScience - now known as Covestro – Martin also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Edelmann, a global provider of high-quality and innovative board and paper packaging solutions with over 3,000 employees, before joining Pearl Polyurethane Systems as CEO and relocating to Dubai. In late 2021, Pearl’s R&D team overseen by Martin won the ‘Innovative Insulation Project of the Year 2021’ award for the first R&D initiative of its type launched in the Middle East. The objective was to achieve an overall improvement of up to 20 per cent in insulation performance for polyurethanebased metal sandwich insulation panels compared to current regional industry standards.
