He also brings with him a wealth of over 30 years of international experience working at several organizations in GCC and Australia. The existence of Oman Hotels and Tourism Company SAOC (OHTC) started in 1992 with the merger of then Oman Tourist Corporation (OTC) which owned Ruwi Hotel (currently named as Tulip Inn Downtown Muscat) and Oman Hotels Company SAOG which owned Al Falaj Hotel. Ruwi Hotel started its operation under the Commercial Registration of OTC in the year 1976. In 1985, Al Wadi Hotel in Sohar, started its operation under a name of Sohar Hotel LLC. In 1991, OTC changed its name to Muscat Tourist Corporation (MTC) and registered with Muscat securities market. In 1992, MTC acquired Sohar Hotels LLC and also acquired shares in Oman Hotels Company SAOG which owned Al Falaj Hotel.
