CEO Today Middle East Awards

in a compassionate way is core to who we are. We are the first hospital to be accredited by a foreign accrediting body, which happened in 2006, and we’re ISO accredited too. Today, AMH has expanded to having multiple Ambulatory care clinics and a hospital that are all Diamond accredited, which is the highest rating by theNational Health Regulatory body here in Bahrain. What are some of AMH’s recent achievements? One of the greatest challenges has been the transformation from an old institution into one that is prepared for the rapid pace of change and disruption and preparing our healthcare system to be sustainable for the future. We are a fully digitised organisation with EMRs that can be accessed from any location. Our mobile apps allow patients seamless access into our care system - from scheduling appointments to reviewing results. Follow up visits using AMH telehealth is also in the process of being rolled out. We have embarked on building one of the most digitised healthcare hospitals in the region with the generous support of His Majesty the King of Bahrain. This will usher in a new era of futuristic healthcare for the people of Bahrain. In addition to this, the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, Bahrain has signed an MOU to partner with us in the clinical training of medical and allied staff; joint clinical academic appointments will be made, which will provide us with teaching, training and research capabilities. How are you prepared for the Coronavirus spread? We follow guidelines laid out by the WHO, CDC and the Ministry of Health in Bahrain. We work closely with the public health department and laboratory and follow the mandatory screen quarantine or isolation of suspected cases.
