CEO TODAY MIDDLE EAST AWARDS 2020 Business Consulting 22 Gianluca Marano CEO of Astrea Mideast Dmcc I began my involvement in business internationalization following ten years of experience in the banking and consulting sectors. I graduated in Economics & Business at the University of Milan, I began my career as a Wealth Manager of the Fininvest group and then specialized over the years in the Corporate area. In 2002, after a Master in “Investment Advisory Banking and Insurance” at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, I became Sales Manager and later Bank Director in Milan and Bolzano. In 2006 I moved to Switzerland, where I worked as Managing Director in a trust company based in Lugano; here I understood the real potential of the Swiss Confederation as a bridge for the development of international companies. From this idea I grew the project that will be the foundation of my core business and of my strategic consulting service. In 2009, I founded SVA Swiss Valor Advisory SA (www.svadvisory.com) , a Swiss international consulting company with headquarters in Chiasso, which follows corporate and individuals that want to implement and export their business towards new markets. After more than 2 years of experience in the UAE market, in May 2014 Astrea Mideast DMCC (www.astreamideast.ae ) was born, a consulting company based in Dubai. Astrea Mideast DMCC has the aim to select the best international manufacturing excellence and provides customized international consulting services in planning their business strategy for entering the United Arab Emirates. My team and I have successfully supported and coordinated dozens of internationalization processes in the markets where we are present (Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and China), contributing to our client’s specific objectives, helping them to save precious time and to improve the effectiveness of their actions. Our expertise is in the Fashion, Food, Design, Art, and Innovation Technology industries. Thanks to experience gained in various contexts and a network of professional and institutional relationships I cultivated over the years, today I am valued as a trusted and qualified partner for businesses and professionals interested in taking on the internationalization process.
