57 www.ceotodaymagazine.com CEO Today Middle East Awards 2019 united arab emirates Two particular projects that require such dedication are the Seven Hotel & Apartments on The Palm Dubai, with its connecting high-level steel bridge comprising an infinity pool and outdoor restaurant deck facilities, all structurally engineered to exacting standards, and the Al Mamzar Hotel, a four-star, design and construct hotel collaboration. Airolink currently has 14 ongoing projects across a variety of market sectors and in various stages of completion. More or less 50% of these are with repeat clients What/who is your biggest inspiration over the years & why? This land and its ruler are my biggest inspirations. Yes, I definitely mean Dubai and Shk. Mohammed. When I came into Dubai in 2008 with a dream of opening my company here, there were some who told me that I was in a wrong place at a wrong time. The country was undergoing a severe recession then. The job opportunities were practically none. By 2010 the scenario changed. The country went over a metamorphic change. The economy started to boost up slowly. New buildings and new projects began to spring up. The way Dubai overcame its crisis was my biggest inspiration. I knew others were wrong. And I knew that I was at the right place and at the right time; and along with Dubai, Airolink too grew and prospered. Your views on good team building and effective workforce management. People generally confuse themselves on the concept of Team Building. Developing an overall sense of teamwork is totally different from building an effective and a focused work team. I take special care to ensure that all the team improvement efforts taken up meet the expectations. I therefore generally request the team leaders and the key players to communicate clearly with their team members of their expectations on the team’s performance and outcomes. The team members must first understand why the team was created. Secondly, it’s equally important to see if the team members are competent enough to complete the set task. Thirdly it’s also very important that the team members are committed to the cause of the team and show that commitment in accomplishing the team mission and expected outcomes. What are your ambitions for the future of Airolink Group? Construction industry, the way I see it, has vast potential for improvement. Airolink is currently in a transformation stage of embracing and adopting world class and innovative technological opportunities. Adopting and exploiting these innovations will boost our productivity, streamline our project management and procedures, and enhance quality and safety. Very soon, I wish to see Airolink as one of the highest providers of top-notch construction services, while operating at highest levels of Engineering Technology, quality and cost effectiveness. Accountability, sustainability, commitment, integrity and team work will continue to be our core value and will lead Airolink to be Pioneers in the construction Industry. Q Q Q
