37 www.ceotodaymagazine.com CEO Today Middle East Awards 2018 OMAN RASHAD ALI ABDULLAH AL-MUSAFIR CEO of Oman Arab Bank SAOC ABOUT RASHAD ALI ABDULLAH AL-MUSAFIR Mr. Rashad Ali Abdullah Al-Musafir has been Acting Chief Executive Officer of Oman Arab Bank, SAOC. Mr. Al-Musafir served as General Manager of Bank Sohar, S.A.O.G. until June 29, 2016 and served as its Acting Chief Executive Officer from October 1, 2014 to June 2016. Mr. Al-Musafir served as General Manager of Bank Sohar, S.A.O.G until September 29, 2015. He served as Chief Financial Officer at of Bank Sohar, S.A.O.G. since October 13, 2009 and also served as its Acting Head of Compliance. With 20 years of industry experience and knowledge in running and managing high-profile profitable operations, he joined OAB from Bank Sohar where he worked for almost 10 years in various leadership positions. Prior to joining Bank Sohar in February 2007, he served as the Head of Finance in Al Madina Gulf Insurance Company. He served as the Head of Planning and Reporting Unit of Bank Sohar. He started his career with the Central Bank of Oman and later moved to Oman International Bank. Mr. Al-Musafir also completed his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examinations in 2002 from the National Association of State Board of Accountancy - Maine USA and the General Management Program at the Harvard Business School in 2009. He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance from Boston University.
