As the caption in our Logo says “Powered by passion”, it comes from the passion from within and we as a team enjoy what we do. I constantly engage in productive discussions with my teams within the company, listen to the success and failure stories of successful entrepreneurs around the world, read articles about various innovations as well as changes and look at the possibility and benefits of implementing it in my organization. How do you ensure that your team is motivated? Even slightest of good deeds are appreciated within the company and it has been a culture here. Apart from those good words, we recognize employees for their performance, long service periods and outstanding efforts to meet customer requirements by rewarding them. Conducting family fun day, celebrations of cultural festivals within the company and organizing of annual business meets are indirectly factors that motivates our team to perform. Appreciation letters, increments and bonus are other ways we motivate our employees. How do you continuously evaluate and improve the way your business is conducted? Each division in the company is assigned with certain KPI’s to achieve and a monthly monitoring is done to check if it progresses in line with the plan. Quarterly, half yearly and annual reviews take place to ensure that the goals are met. Performers are rewarded and if performance is low, necessary support is offered to overcome them in the coming years Do you provide any value-added services to you customers? Yes, We strive to be our customers preferred choice and thus we provide them with value added services. We have in house team of professionals who are focused on the installation and commissioning for the products that we supply. We use this team to ensure prompt after service support to our customers. Work shop facility is also made use to ensure that we really add value to the business we offer our customers. As and when needed, we get subject matter experts from our principals to support the customer needs. What are some of the efficient operational methods you employ in the company to ensure successful operations and growth in business? We had a very humble beginning in 1997, where most of the activities were executed a single person. Today, we have separate individuals or more for each task in the business process. To reach this level, we used experience driven strategies. Various improvements that have been made to improve the operational efficiency are; • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) • State of the art Information Technology System (ERP) • In-house developed, knowledge management tools for Finance modules • Data sharing network • QHSE team to ensure the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental concerns are addressed appropriately. • Attendance management and surveillance systems. • Remote operations by support team for improving quotation response time • Regular training for employees • Brain Storming and lost opportunity analysis for business improvement What would be your best advice to the aspirants for this award? If you are reliable and dependable, then patience is the key. PETRO-Q started in a very humble way and I have been throughout its journey till today, where we are recognized as one of the best and reliable partner in oil & Gas as well as Infrastructure business by our customers. I have spent enough time and best efforts in attracting talents and maintaining them in the company. We have faced difficult stages in the past but maintained the consistent growth by improving reliability. FIRM PROFILE Petrofac Qatar W.L.L. was established in 1997 with the objective of providing our customers a comprehensive range of engineering products and solutions, sourced from world renowned principals and manufactures. We are now an IMS (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & OHSAS 18001:2007) and Trace certified company with over 20 years of experience and around 200 Million QAR business turnover. Our services are available to the Oil & Gas and Infrastructure industries. We are a team of around 100 professionals serving the industry of which 35 of them are qualified and experienced engineers. In our warehousing facility, we utilize our 15,000 Sq. Mtr. space to carry a stock of about 40 Million Qatar Riyals from our partners across the globe.
