As an organization, we are constantly evolving, and our employee’s role and skill sets evolve too. However, key skill sets which we continue to stand by are communication, organization, willingness to learn and management skills such as problem-solving and analytical thinking. What are the biggest challenges you face in your line of work and how do you overcome these? Every business faces a range of challenges. We live in uncertain times and with the changes happening around the globe and the changing consumer preference, we are faced with the formidable task of finding solutions to these challenges. Needless to say, every challenge and opportunity demands different solutions. In addition to the challenges thrown up by the general slowdown in the economy, one of the key challenges that we or for that matter any organisation faces is competition. Due to increasing choices available to the customer and changing preferences, the competition is very intense. As the consumer has the distinct advantage of choosing their products, it is crucial that we remain connected with our customers and maximise our growth with them. At MHD, we constantly keep a check on the market trends. At the strategic level, we have an in-house team which specialises in identifying and exploring opportunities, new business ventures and pursuing them through high-level dialogues. At the operations level, our core business team is also tasked with keeping a track of market movements and trends related to consumer choices, technological advancements, and new product development. In addition to expanding our productportfolio,Iplantocontinue my father’s diversification policy and aim to move beyond niche segments. We need to foray into all segments as we need to look at the sectors we aren’t covering as yet as there exists the potential for growth. We are constantly exploring new business opportunities and joint ventures which will aid further expansion and growth of the company. What do you hope for Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC in the years ahead? Rome was not built in a day. The same holds true for business empires which have grown steadily over the years. MHD has grown from strength to strength and achieved astounding success since its inception. As a Chairperson, my hope and vision for MHD LLC is to further its progress over the years, strengthen relations with our business partners, foray into new sectors and expand our footprint by acquiring new agencies. I am confident that with perseverance, dedication and hard work we will further my father’s legacy and take MHD and our Sultanate to greater heights of success.
